Emergency advice for Queenslanders and departmental staff

Gulf rivers flood warning

There is currently a flood warning in place for the Gulf rivers catchment, including parts of central and northern Queensland.

Multiple roads remain closed or have travel restrictions imposed due to recent, and ongoing, severe weather and flooding.

Some areas are experiencing flood peaks, and further showers and thunderstorms are expected across the catchment area over the next few days, with heavy falls possible.

Staff in these regions are encouraged to reconsider any plans for personal or work-related travel for the coming days, and heed all official advice.

Please speak to your supervisor if the current weather conditions are having an impact on your personal or work circumstances.

Current Queensland weather warnings are available here and current road information is available here.

This page will be updated in the event of an emergency. It will be updated regularly with information about availability of DJAG services and messages for staff.
